Balloch Country Park is a 200-acre country park on the southern tip of Loch Lomond in Scotland. It was recognised as a country park in 1980, and it is the only country park in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, Scotland’s first national park.

LOCH LOMOND

Loch Lomond is a lake in southern Scotland. It’s part of the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. The surrounding highlands area is home to red deer and oak woodlands. Sir Walter Scott later visited the area’s wild little glens and was so enthralled  that he wrote his epic poem The Lady of the Lake (1810) about a girl who lived here.

The Kelpies

The Kelpies, designed by Scottish sculptor Andy Scott are the largest pair of equine sculptures in the world. Just imagine this: travelling along an unremarkable section of motorway, when, seemingly out of nowhere, two gigantic, glinting horse heads, stretching almost a hundred feet high, rise up in front of you.
